The Ospreys, were a result of the Neath RFC and Swansea RFC joining forces back in the summer of 2003, although before the start of the 2004-2005 season that area was extended due to the demise of the Celtic Warriors.
After the Warriors folded, they benefited with talented players such as now Ospreys and Welsh captain Ryan Jones to add to players like Shane Williams. Filo Tia Tia, Marty Holah have followed and the Ospreys have exciting young prospects coming through the ranks like Daniel Biggar, Ben Lewis, Jonathan Spratt and Gareth Owen.
The Ospreys won the Celtic League in the 2006-2007 and will be hoping to carry on their sucess in all competitions.
The Ospreys are looking for a new coach after Lyn Jones left this season by mutual consent.
