The Cardiff Blues were launched in 2003 and cover areas in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Powys, Merthyr and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
The team play their games at the Arms Park, which is right next door Wales home theatre, The Millenium Stadium.
They have never won the Magners League but just missed out last season.
They are blessed with talent in their squad including Wales open side flanker Martyn Williams, centre Tom Shanklin, prop Gethin Jenkins, while also having foreign players like Ben Blair Xavier Rush and new captain Paul Tito.
