Willis Named as Dragons Captain
New signing Tom Willis will be Dragons captain this season. The hooker arrived from Waikato Chiefs and has five caps for the All Blacks and takes over from Colin Charvis who now combines playing and coaching.
Willis commented: “It is an honour to be given the responsibility of leading such a proud team and I acknowledge that we have a real challenge on our hands but it’s one that I will accept head on.”
Paul Turner said: “We have given Tom time to settle in at Rodney Parade and work with his team mates and he is fully aware of the responsibility that comes with this appointment."
